Host Identity Verification

How Stripe Identity verifies hosts with selfie and government ID.

All hosts must complete identity verification before their properties can receive bookings. This protects guests and maintains trust on the platform.

Verification Process

During host onboarding, you will be guided through Stripe Identity verification. This requires a selfie and a photo of a government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, or national ID card). The process takes about 2 minutes.

What Happens After

Stripe verifies your identity automatically. Most verifications complete within minutes. Once verified, your profile shows a verified host badge and you can start receiving bookings.
